ค่ายตราพัดฟ้าเผยแผนเตรียมเปิดตัวโรดสเตอร์ลำใหม่ในรหัส Z2 ย้ำไม่ได้แค่ผลิตน้อง Z4 แต่เป็นโรดสเตอร์รุ่นเล็กหลังจากที่ก่อนหน้านี้ขยายซับแบรนด์ภายใต้ชื่อ BMW I ไปแล้ว ล่าสุดค่ายรถยนต์ BMW ดูเหมือนจะมีแผนการใหม่ ด้วยการผลิตสปอร์ตโรดสเตอร์ขนาดย่อมออกมาตอบโจทย์ตลาด ที่ดูเหมือนจะมีความเป็นไปได้มากขึ้น

อย่างไรก็ดี BMW เผยว่ารถรุ่นใหม่คงจะพร้อมแนะนำส่ตลาดได้ในช่วงปี 2014 ในขณะที่ราคาน่าจะอยู่ที่ 33000 ยูโร หรือประมาณ 1.5 ล้านบาท
