 ค่ายตราพัดฟ้าเผยแผนเตรียมเปิดตัวโรดสเตอร์ลำใหม่ในรหัส Z2 ย้ำไม่ได้แค่ผลิตน้อง Z4 แต่เป็นโรดสเตอร์รุ่นเล็กหลังจากที่ก่อนหน้านี้ขยายซับแบรนด์ภายใต้ชื่อ BMW I ไปแล้ว ล่าสุดค่ายรถยนต์ BMW ดูเหมือนจะมีแผนการใหม่ ด้วยการผลิตสปอร์ตโรดสเตอร์ขนาดย่อมออกมาตอบโจทย์ตลาด ที่ดูเหมือนจะมีความเป็นไปได้มากขึ้น
จากรายงานข่าวของนิตยสาร autobild เผยข้อมูลใหม่ที่น่าสนใจ โดยได้รับการเปิดเผยจากค่ายรถยนต์ตราพัดฟ้าว่า พวกเขากำลังสนใจที่จะสร้างรถโรดสเตอร์รุ่นใหม่มาเสริมทัพรถสปอร์ตของค่าย ที่คาดว่าน่าจะวางจำหน่ายได้ในช่วงปี 2014

ทั้งนี้แม้จะยังไม่มีการเปิดเผยอย่างเป็นทางการ แต่เชื่อว่าค่ายรถยนต์ตราพัดฟ้ามีแผนที่จะให้สปอร์ตโรดสเตอร์รุ่นใหม่นี้ ใช้เครื่องยนต์ที่มีขนาดตั้งแต่ 1.6i ,2.0i และสูงสุด 2.8i ที่คาดว่าจะมีแรงม้าตั้งแต่ 160 ไปจนถึง 268 แรงม้า และน่าจะเริ่มรุ่นมาตรฐาน 2000 ซีซี เทอร์โบ ซึ่งยังมีการคาดการณ์ว่า อาจจะมีรุ่น 1600 ซีซี เทอร์โบด้วย

อย่างไรก็ดี BMW เผยว่ารถรุ่นใหม่คงจะพร้อมแนะนำส่ตลาดได้ในช่วงปี 2014 ในขณะที่ราคาน่าจะอยู่ที่ 33000 ยูโร หรือประมาณ 1.5 ล้านบาท
